ContactBefore joining CTVNews.ca, he had stints at Maclean's, HuffPost Canada and Postmedia as well as reported on the 2014 Edmonton mass murders for The Globe and Mail.
Jeremiah has covered everything from climate change to cannabis legalization to the 2018 Ontario election to the brief “hostilities” between Canada and Norway over who had the world’s largest moose statue. No, seriously.
He’s focused on stories involving the global refugee crisis, the Latinx diaspora, genetically modified foods, victims of marginalization and the broad overlaps between faith, pop culture and the LGBTQ community.
He loves figuring out new ways to target news to millennials and chasing down a tough source.
Jeremiah holds a master of arts in journalism and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Western University. In between classes, he won the RTDNA Canadian Press/Eric Murray Scholarship for his feature on bubble soccer. And he was the lead writer for Maclean’s 2018 Ontario election platform guide —the site’s second most-read article ever.
Jeremiah speaks English and Spanish.
