Man dies after hit-and-run in Longueuil

A man in his 20s is dead after a hit-and-run in the LeMoyne district of Longueuil on Montreal’s South Shore early Friday morning.

Longueuil police (SPAL) received a 911 call at 4:50 a.m. about the incident near 1626 Taschereau Blvd.

“A crime scene is currently being processed at the location,” the force notes. “Only one lane is open on Taschereau Boulevard toward Brossard, starting at Curé-Guay Street. We ask the public to avoid the area.”

An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
