The body recovered a week ago from the Saint Lawrence River near the Port of Quebec has been identified as Susana Rocha Cruz, Quebec City police (SPVQ) confirmed on Tuesday. The force says it has reason to believe that the 44-year-old woman, who had been missing since Jan. 7, was the victim of a homicide. A suspect has been arrested for assault causing bodily harm and is expected to appear in Quebec City court on Tuesday to face additional charges. Rocha Cruz’s body was recovered on Jan. 13 in the early afternoon near a dock in the Port of Quebec. The victim, of Mexican origin, worked as a housekeeper in the hotel industry.
