An orderly from Longueuil is making his dream come true of owning a home after winning a $1 million lottery prize. Albert Mbede Messi was all smiles after spinning the big wheel in the Giga 360 and it stopped on the $1 million wedge — all captured on video by Loto-Quebec. Mbede Messi, who is originally from Cameroon and is in his 30s, said he will buy a property with his winnings. “It’s like a dream for anyone who settles here — and it’s mine too,” he said. Even host Isabelle Racicot couldn’t help but shed a few tears in celebration of the big winner. Messi purchased the lucky ticket at a Couche-Tard store in Longueuil. The ticket guaranteed him at least $500,000. After winning, he cheered and hugged his two friends, whom he brought with him for the big moment.
