Two men are facing attempted murder charges after a woman was allegedly assaulted earlier this week in Beechville, N.S. Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, police and paramedics responded to a report that “two men tried to kill a woman” after a dispute at a home the evening before. Police say the suspects and the victim are known to each other. Investigators are calling it “an incident of intimate partner violence.” The woman reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident. Officers arrested one of the men at the home around 8:15 a.m. The second man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Dartmouth, N.S. A 32-year-old and a 24-year-old, both from Beechville, have each been charged with: The men appeared in Halifax provincial court on Wednesday and remain in custody. The 32-year-old is scheduled to return to court Friday, and the 24-year-old man is scheduled to appear on Oct. 14. “To help protect the identity of the victim, Nova Scotia RCMP will not publish the names of the men charged, and no further information will be released at this time,” police said in a Friday news release.
