Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge westbound closed overnight on Monday and Tuesday

Those looking to get off the island using the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge will need to get there before 11 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

The Quebec Transport Ministry (MTQ) said that westbound lanes of Highway 40 (Félix-Leclerc) will close on both nights between the Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue/Anciens-Combattants Boulevard/Highway 20 Westbound/Ile Perrot exit (41) and the Saint Charles Avenue entrance in Vaudreuil-Dorion and reopen at 5 a.m. the following morning.

“These closures are necessary in order to prepare the site for the winter season and to move guardrails,” the MTQ said in a news release.

Detours will be in place and the work may be cancelled due to weather or operational constraints.

In addition, the MTQ reminds that access to Anciens-Combattants Boulevard heading east is closed until Nov. 2. A detour is in place.
