Here are the Montreal-area weekend road closures due to construction

Those driving in and around Montreal should note that construction work will result in some road closures and route alterations.

Planning a trip in advance is always recommended.

• LISTEN to CJAD 800 Radio for live traffic reports every 15 minutes.

Honoré-Mercier Bridge

• From Saturday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one lane will be open in each direction in the South Shore-bound span of the bridge.
• During the same period, LaSalle Boulevard will be closed under the Honoré-Mercier bridge structures between Trésor-Caché and Lafleur avenues.

Ville-Marie Tunnel (R-136)

• From Friday at midnight to Monday at 5 a.m., the Ville-Marie Expressway (R-136) westbound will be closed between Exit 5 (Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, Samuel-De Champlain bridge) and Fort Street access.
• As a result, the Lucien-L’Allier Street access will be closed by default.

Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel (A-25)

Southbound

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Saturday at 9 a.m., the tunnel will be closed between the Sherbrooke Street exit (5) and Route-132 in Longueuil.
• As a result, Souligny Avenue eastbound will be closed between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand.

Northbound

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Saturday at 9 a.m., the tunnel will be closed between exit 90 (R-132) on Highway 20 West in Longueuil and the Hochelaga Street access in Montreal.

As a result, the following will be default closures 30 minutes before:

• The Route-132 east and west on-ramps (exits 89-N).
• Access from l’Île-Charron Street.

REM light rail line

• The network is closed every Saturday and Sunday in May.
• Shuttles will be available.

Bonaventure Highway (A-10) / Nuns’ Island

• The Nuns’ Island exit (5) of the Bonaventure Highway (A-10) east towards the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge is closed until the end of May.
• One lane will be open in both directions on the Bonaventure Highway (A-10) in the Clement Bridge area until December.

All work may be cancelled due to weather or operational constraints.
