A bomb threat in Western’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry buildings led to a closure while police investigated. London police say they were notified of a bomb threat early Friday morning in the buildings located on Lambton Drive and Western Road. After an investigation, with the assistance of the London Police Service (LPS) canine unit, the buildings have reopened with no suspicious findings. The school initially posted on X around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, citing the investigation. It was later updated that the investigation has wrapped. Although the buildings have reopened, dental clinics will not reopen Friday. Employees and students were asked to stay away from the following buildings: The Medical Sciences Building, Health Sciences Addition, Dental Sciences Building, Clinical Skills Building, Siebens Drake Research Institute, Kresge Building, Molecular Biology, and the link to the Robarts Research Institute. All other buildings on campus and tours will continue as scheduled. The investigation remains ongoing. CTV News was provided a statement from Western University regarding the incident.
