Warm and humid start gives way to mid-week chill

Get ready for a weather rollercoaster in the London area this week.

It starts with warm, humid conditions and a chance of storms, before a significant cool-down mid-week.

Sunday begins with lingering fog patches expected to dissipate by mid-morning. There will be a mix of sun and cloud, but don’t be surprised by a 40 percent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms late this afternoon. It will feel quite warm and humid, with a high near 27 and a Humidex of 32. The UV index is very high (8), so sun protection is a must.

The evening might bring some early showers and a lingering risk of thunderstorms before clearing to partly cloudy skies. Winds will be from the south at 20 km/h, with an overnight low of 15.
