Unsettled weather, cooler temperatures expected in London through week

Lauren Stallone has the latest forecast for the London region

Warm temperatures are being felt across the region Tuesday afternoon, with conditions remaining dry through the rest of the day.

Lauren Stallone says temperatures reached 17 C in London, which is slightly above the seasonal average. Wiarton saw a high of 15 C, while Windsor reached 18 C.

Stallone said some scattered showers moved through the area early in the morning, but dry conditions are expected to persist into the evening.

“The next chance of showers will come through early Wednesday morning and into Wednesday afternoon,” Stallone said, noting some areas could see heavy rainfall.

Conditions are expected to improve later Wednesday into Thursday, with clearing skies, cloud cover and some breaks of sunshine.

Overnight lows will dip as cooler air moves into the region. Temperatures are expected to fall to 5 C in London, 3 C in Wiarton and 9 C in Windsor.

Wednesday morning is expected to start off cloudy with showers and a temperature of about 7 C at 8 a.m. Showers are expected to continue around midday, with the temperature climbing to around 10 C.

By late afternoon, conditions are expected to become mainly cloudy with some sunny breaks, just in time for the evening commute. The temperature is forecast to reach about 11 C by 5 p.m.

Stallone said temperatures will continue to trend cooler later in the week as colder air moves through the region.

“Friday and Saturday are the coldest days,” she said, with overnight lows reaching -1 C Friday night and -2 C Saturday night.

The chance of showers will continue through the end of the week, along with a mix of sun and cloud. Temperatures are expected to gradually return to seasonal norms early next week.
