A London man has been arrested after police say he sexually assaulted a woman last week. The incident occurred on Aug. 1 when a woman was reportedly walking on Dundas Street between Adelaide and Lyle streets between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. According to police, she was approached by a man in a vehicle, and after a conversation, she got in. Police said the man drove to a parking lot in the area of Dundas Street and Kathleen Avenue, where he allegedly sexually assaulted the woman, stole her clothing and belongings and fled the area. A citizen found the woman and called police, who transported her to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 27-year-old male was charged with sexual assault and theft under $5,000. He’s in custody and scheduled to appear in court today.
