Section of Gainsborough Road reopens after multi-vehicle crash sends 3 to hospital

Police say one person suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash Thursday afternoon in west London.

The collision involved three vehicles on Gainsborough Road.

According to police two other people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gainsborough Road was closed between Hyde Park and Denfield roads for the investigation but has since reopened.

There is no word on how the crash happened or if any charges will be laid.

In an update on Friday afternoon, police say all three remain in hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation has been reassigned to members of the LPS Road Safety Section and is ongoing.
