Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in west London, Ont. parking lot

A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Farm Boy Tuesday afternoon.

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle while in the parking lot of a west London grocery store late Tuesday afternoon.

According to a news release from the London Police Service (LPS), on Tuesday at approximately 3 p.m., emergency crews responded to a collision involving a female pedestrian in the parking lot of a Farm Boy grocery store, located at the intersection of Wonderland Road North and Beaverbrook Avenue.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital by paramedics with life-threatening injuries. Police say she has since succumbed to those injuries.

The involved driver remained on scene.

The investigation has been reassigned to members of the LPS Road Safety Section and is ongoing.

The involved parking lot, northwest of the intersection of Beaverbrook Avenue and Wonderland Road North, is currently closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic while police remain on scene.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 2:45p.m. and 3:10 p.m., and may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam, residential, or business surveillance footage, to contact police at [phone] or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
