OPP Lifesaving Award granted to local hockey player

Middlesex OPP have recognized a local hockey player with an OPP Lifesaving Award.

In September last year, Caulin Gilbert was playing hockey in Dorchester, during which a teammate had a medical episode. Gilbert jumped into action, doing CPR on his teammate until emergency services arrived.

His actions saved his teammate’s life. For his efforts, Gilbert was granted an OPP Life Saving Award earlier this week.
