Managing massive snow drifts in Huron County

Substantial snow drifts in Huron County are starting to recede, thanks to warmer temperatures.

Road crews have been using snowblowers along highways to clear some of the more obstructive drifts this week.

Some of them are more than 6-feet high.

According to workers, they’re trying to limit more drift formations across roadways, preventing closures.

Elsewhere, in Bruce County, there were some road closures because of high winds and blowing snow.
