Police in London are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect linked to a series of counterfeit currency incidents dating back to late April. Members of the London Police Service’s financial crime unit say that between April 23 and June 15, a man entered several businesses across the city and passed — or attempted to pass — counterfeit banknotes. The incidents were reported to police and later reassigned to the financial crime unit for investigation. Police are also urging residents and business owners to remain vigilant when handling cash transactions and to report any suspicious activity. Anyone with information about the investigation or who can identify the suspect is asked to contact police.
