The London Hydro Tree Power program is back for another year. The 13-year-old program is a partnership between London Hydro and the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA), making native trees more available and affordable for the city. “Tree Power is one of our most successful programs with London residents and after 13 years, we are excited to have new and returning customers take advantage of it,” said Robert Davies, UTRCA Forestry and Restoration Supervisor. “It’s a great way for Londoners to plant native trees in their yards. Thanks to the sponsorship of London Hydro, we can provide trees to residents at a very affordable price.” The following species of trees are available: These specific kinds of trees were picked because they are “well suited” to the area. Orders open on Monday at 10 a.m. You can order online here. The trees will then be available for pick up at the Fanshawe Conservation Area on April 11 and April 12.
