Police say two people have been hospitalized with serious injuries after a rollover crash in Cloverdale on Monday afternoon. The Surrey Police Service said they were called to the 8300 block of 176 Street with reports of a single-vehicle crash. Responding officers found Surrey Fire Services firefighters and B.C. Emergency Health Services paramedics treating the driver and passenger. “One occupant had been ejected from the vehicle,” Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said, in a release. “Both were transported to hospital by BCEHS, with the driver reportedly in critical condition.” “The investigation is in its early stages, and the cause of the collision remains unknown.” Just after 7 p.m., police said the southbound curb lane of 176A Street would be closed and encouraged drivers to find alternate routes. “Other closures in that immediate area may be necessary depending on the size of the collision scene,” police added. Anyone who witnessed or has dash camera video of the crash has been asked to call the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-119038.
