Knights force Battalion to shootout on home ice

The London Knights were back in action on Friday night, kicking off their weekend on home ice at Canada Life Place.

After a scoreless first period, North Bay would strike first seven minutes into the second on a goal by Nick Wellenreiter.

The Knights then answered with two of their own – with Jesse Nurmi and Henry Brzustewicz getting the Knights to the top of the scoreboard.

Unfortunately, that’s not where they’d remain, as the Battalion managed to tie up the game in the third, forcing a shootout, where they secured a 3-2 victory.

London will be looking to get back in the win column Saturday night as they travel down to Erie to take on the Otters.
