‘I’m still shaking from the adrenaline’: London, Ont. construction worker wins big with $100K lotto win

A local construction worker plans on getting a puppy after stepping inside OLG’s Instant Money Machine and winning big.

According to a news release from OLG, Kevin Cowan of London recently stepped inside OLG’s newest “experiential” lottery game Instant Money Machine and won the top prize of $100,000.

Kevin, a construction worker, has been a loyal lottery player for two decades and enjoys playing instant tickets.

He started playing Money Machine because he noticed it was a new game.

After winning $50 on another Money Machine ticket, Kevin decided to buy another ticket with his winnings, and that’s when his luck really paid off.

“I wasn’t even paying attention while checking my ticket at the store. Then I noticed the screen said, ‘Money Machine live event.’ My friend asked me what that meant and I said, ‘I won the top prize!’ I didn’t even believe what I was seeing!”

On the day of his event, Kevin says his heart was racing before stepping into the Money Machine.

“I could hear the crowd cheering for me as I grabbed those bills. I’m still shaking from the adrenaline,” he said. “It’s nerve-racking in there. I can’t believe I won $100,000!”

So, what does Kevin plan to do with his newfound windfall? He says the win is an amazing opportunity to get ahead, and he plans on getting a puppy.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hasty Market on Belmont Drive.
