Guilty pleas expected in London Gold Buyer heist

The three remaining men charged in connection with the violent London Gold Buyer heist nearly three years ago appeared in a London, Ont. courtroom Monday and were expected to enter a guilty plea.

However, due to a legal delay, the case was put over until next month.

Tyreese Brown-Austin, 24, Dahlison Emile, 23, and Jahqwan Bucknor, 23, all from the Toronto area appeared in London Superior Court facing a rash of charges including armed robbery and weapons offences.

The court heard they are expected to plead guilty, but it’s not known to what specific charges.

In August of 2023, another man Dejan Stephen, 22, of Toronto pled guilty to armed robbery in the case and was sentenced to seven years.

During the jewelry store robbery in January 2023, the owner was shot and spent several months in hospital recovering.

At the time London police said the men in hoodies and masks and armed with guns held up the store and got away with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

Arrests were made a short while later in the Ingersoll area and the suspects were taken into custody.

The case will be back at the London Courthouse on Dec. 2.
