Forest City to see mixed bag of weather over the weekend

There will be sun, rain and cloudy skies to end the final weekend of April. Here's Julie Atchison.

From sunshine to rainfall and overcast skies, the Forest City will see a little bit of everything going into the final weekend of April.

According to CTV News London Meteorologist Julie Atchison, there will be mix of sun and clouds and a 60 per cent chance of showers on Friday. The high will reach 16 C, with a UV index of seven.

Showers will begin Friday evening, with a low of 6 C.

“Not a washout, mainly cloudy with a few breaks and just a slight risk for a spotty shower,” she said.

Looking ahead to the start of the weekend, the daytime high will drop to 10 C, with a 40 per cent chance of rain.

Clouds linger overnight Saturday, with a low of 5.

Atchison says the sunshine returns on Sunday, with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 16 C.

Overnight Sunday stays clear with a low of 5 C, but clouds will return to the region to kick off the workweek with double digit temperatures.

“But temperatures over the next seven [days] averaging close to where we should be for this time of year,” said Atchison.
