A warm and humid day is in store for southern Ontario Thursday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected to develop through the afternoon, according to CTV London meteorologist Julie Atchison. “We will remain under this warm, humid air mass. Lots of moisture to tap into and significant amounts of rain if we get under one of these heavier storms,” Atchison said. The day will start mainly cloudy, with breaks of sunshine expected through the afternoon. Temperatures will reach a high of 27 C, but will feel closer to 35 with the humidity. Friday will be mainly cloudy with a high of 25 C and a 30 per cent chance of thunderstorms and rainfall. The chance of rain will ease heading into the Labour Day weekend. Saturday and Sunday are expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud, with daytime highs between 23 and 25 C. More sunshine and a more stable air mass are expected to move into the region for the holiday weekend.
