Fatal crash causes 401 closure in Oxford County

A Brampton man has died after his truck slammed into the back of another truck on Highway 401. CTV’s Ashley Bacon reports.

One person has died after a crash on Highway 401 in Oxford County.

According to OPP, the crash between two commercial motor vehicles happened around 7 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Oxford Road 29 on Blandford-Blenheim.

When emergency crews arrived, they found one of the vehicles had rear ended the other.

One of the drivers, identified as a 26-year-old man from Brampton, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 between Oxford Road 29 and Cedar Creek Road are currently closed for the investigation.
