Electrical damage from storm forces closure of Byron community pool

A setback for recreational pool users in London’s Byron neighbourhood.

The city has announced the Byron outdoor pool has been closed due to electrical damage to its pumping system from this week’s storm.

That means all recreational programs at the Brock Lane facility have been cancelled for the coming week.

In a news release Thursday, the city said, “Anyone registered for programs at this location will be contacted by the City of London to arrange alternative locations or a refund.”

All other City of London outdoor pools and wading pools will be open seven days a week for the summer beginning June 28, according to the release.
