A Guelph woman was slapped with new charges shortly after she was released on bail. The 31-year-old was arrested for assaulting three officers on Wednesday. Police said a disturbance was reported at Speedvale Avenue East and Marlborough Road. When officers tried to arrest the woman, she kicked one of them. The woman was taken to the hospital where she continued to act “confrontational.” She then scratched an officer and threw urine at another. The woman was released Thursday on bail. Around 4 p.m. that same day, emergency services were called to an apartment building, also near Speedvale Avenue East and Marlborough Road. The woman had gone to the building, despite an order to stay away from the property, and begun arguing with a resident. Police claimed the woman then pulled the fire alarm. The 31-year-old was charged with making a false fire alarm and two counts of breaching a bail order.
