Guelph man charged for break-in at east-end home

A 33-year-old Guelph man is facing several charges after a homeowner in the city’s east end reported a break-in late Sunday night.

Guelph Police said they received a call shortly after 10:10 p.m., after the resident reported that someone had smashed a kitchen window and entered the home.

Officers located a man nearby who matched the homeowner’s description. Police said he was carrying a large breaker bar and had blood on his hands.

The man was arrested and charged with break and enter, possession of a break-in instrument and carrying a concealed weapon.
