Westbound lanes of Highway 401 closed between Highway 2 and Trussler Road due to collisions

Drivers are being urged to be careful on the roads as police are

responding to multiple collisions due to icy conditions.

In a social media post at 8:18 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police said all westbound lanes of Highway 401 between Highway 2 in Woodstock and Trussler Road near Ayr were closed due to multi-vehicle collisions.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area and drive to current road conditions.
