Two people arrested for alleged carjacking at Conestoga Mall

Alleged carjacking at Conestoga Mall Two people have been arrested in connection the alleged carjacking at the popular Waterloo mall.

Waterloo regional police say two male youths have been arrested in connection to an alleged carjacking at Conestoga Mall on Wednesday.

Police responded to a report of a carjacking in the parking lot of the mall at around 2:30 p.m. Police said two male youths stole the victim’s personal property and vehicle while brandishing a firearm.

The victim, a 21-year-old woman from Woodstock, wasn’t injured, according to police.

Police said a short time later they found the stolen, empty motor vehicle in the area of Foxhunt Road and Davenport Road.

The two suspects were found nearby and arrested and two imitation firearms were seized.
