Tubing season starts at the Elora Gorge

A local hotspot has officially opened for the summer.

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) said tubing season has started at the Elora Gorge Conservation Area.

The online ticket system opened on June 26.

“Tubing down the river is a fun and exciting way to see the wonders of the Elora Gorge,” the GRCA’s website said. “From the rushing white water to the towering cliffs, tubing offers more than just a refreshing ride on a hot summer day.”

Tickets can be purchased up to three days in advance. The GRCA warned that they will not be sold on site.

Visitors must have an approved tube, helmet with chin strap and a personal floatation device like a life jacket. They can use their own or rent equipment through the GRCA.

Tubing tickets can be purchased until Sept. 7.
