Stabbing in Uptown Waterloo sends two people to hospital

Waterloo Regional Police are looking for the man pictured in connection to a stabbing near King Street North and Bridgeport Road East on July 20, 2025 (Courtesy: WRPS).

Two men were rushed to hospital after they were stabbed in Uptown Waterloo.

The incident happened Sunday at King Street North and Bridgeport Road East and was reported to Waterloo Regional Police around 2:15 a.m.

They said a 24-year-old from Cambridge was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a 28-year-old from Waterloo was transported to a hospital outside Waterloo Region. His injuries were also said to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators believe the stabbing was targeted and want to speak to the man pictured in connection to the attack.

No details have been shared about a possible suspect.
