Snow squall warnings for Stratford and southern Perth County

Parts of the province were hit with another blast of winter weather Tuesday morning.

Snow squall warnings were issued for Stratford, Mitchell and southern Perth County, as well as all areas between Grand Bend and Saugeen Shores.

Environment Canada said those communities could get anywhere from 5 to 15 cm of snow, though higher amounts were also possible.

Drivers were warned to take it slow on the roads due to reduced visibility from the blowing snow.

The agency said conditions were expected to improve by late morning or early afternoon.

Meantime, a winter travel advisory was issued for Wellington County, including Guelph, Erin, Elora, Drayton, Clifford and Mount Forest.

Environment Canada said those areas could get 2 to 5 cm of snow but, when winds change in the early afternoon, conditions were expected to improve.
