Simcoe man killed in crash on Highway 6

A 28-year-old man from Simcoe was killed in a crash on Highway 6, south of Hagersville, on Thursday.

Ontario Provincial Police said two vehicles collided near Concession 9 around 5 p.m.

One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

OPP said others were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but did not specify how many people were hurt.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. To remain anonymous, tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca,” a press release said.

OPP did not share details about the circumstances leading up crash or any possible charges being considered in the case.
