Video of suspect released after shots fired at Kitchener home

CTV’s Alexandra Holyk has the latest on Waterloo Region’s fourth shooting incident of the year.

Police have released video of a suspect wanted after shots were fired at a home in Kitchener’s south-end.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service said reports came in around 3 a.m. Thursday after gunshots rang out near Doon Village Road.

The shots were fired at a home and no injuries have been reported.

Thursday afternoon, police released a video that showed a suspect run toward the home and then open fire. At least four shots were taken before the suspect moves out of the camera’s line of sight.

The suspect has been described as a male with a thin build. He was approximately 5’7” to 5’10” and wore light coloured clothing, a mask and dark coloured shoes.

Investigators believe it was a targeted incident.

A media release warned there may be an increased police presence in the area while officers investigated the incident.
