Calgary police are investigating a sexual assault reported in Fish Creek Provincial Park this past weekend, saying it’s believed to be connected to two other assaults reported in the park last month. The most recent assault happened at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, in the area of Sue Higgins Bridge and Mallard Point. Police say the suspect, in his late teens or early 20s, approached the victim from behind as she was jogging and allegedly sexually assaulted her. The suspect was riding a black BMX bike at the time, police said. He is described approximately 6’ tall (183 centimetres) with short, shaggy blond hair. He was wearing a blue jeans and black hoodie with a colourful graphic on the side. Two women reported being sexually assaulted in the park on Monday, April 20. At least one of the assaults happened near Mallard Point. The suspect, in his late teens or early 20s, allegedly sexually assaulted one of the victims at 5:10 p.m., and the other at 5:30 p.m. Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
