Seven people sent to hospital after Perth County crash

A serious crash south of Mitchell has injured seven people.

At around five thirty Friday evening a minivan and SUV collided head on Hwy 23, north of Line 24.

Three passengers in the SUV, and four passengers in the minivan were all transported to hospital. One man in the SUV was taken to London hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

The four passengers in the minivan were all transported to a local hospital, but later an infant and toddler were both moved to a London hospital. The other two passengers, a male driver and a female passenger had minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while OPP investigated.

There is no word on what caused the accident, or if police plan to lay any charges.
