Police shut down Halloween parties in university district

At three weekend parties in Waterloo’s university district, the police officers who showed up weren’t people wearing Halloween costumes.

Waterloo Regional Police say they broke up one party Friday night and two more on Saturday, laying various alcohol-related charges against a total of seven people.

At least one of the parties allegedly involved people under the drinking age being supplied with alcohol.

Police say they seized seven kegs of beer and “one pail of jungle juice” from the three parties.
