Police say Kitchener deaths were caused by deliberate actions of deceased male

Waterloo Regional Police are concluding the investigation into the deaths of Kitchener residents Lorrie Lynn Baechler and Robert Murphy.

Police were called to a home on Brock St Sunday morning after reports of gun shots.

Both Baechler and Murphy were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released how either of them died but say it was due to Murphy's deliberate actions.

“This is a tragic and senseless incident that remains difficult for our community to comprehend,” said Police Chief Bryan Larkin. “At this time, we want to respect the privacy of the families as they grieve their tremendous loss.  Additionally, as a community, we need to remain committed to working together to find solutions and preventing acts of violence.”
