Police investigating after two people sprayed with noxious substance in Waterloo neighbourhood

Police are looking for tips after two people were sprayed with a noxious substance in a Waterloo neighbourhood late Friday night.

Waterloo Regional Police said that they were called to Meadowsweet Avenue around 11:05 p.m.

They said an unknown male went up to two people and sprayed them with what police believe to be a noxious substance. The man fled the area in a vehicle before police arrived.

Police said one of the victims, an 18-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital by region of Waterloo Paramedic Services.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5′7″ and was wearing a grey sweater at the time of the incident.
