Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an early-morning robbery and assault they say happened after a group of people got ride home from a Waterloo nightclub. Police responded to a reported disturbance in Kitchener on Saturday around 1 a.m., in the area of Boehmer and Union streets. Officers learned that several males and females accepted a ride from two males they didn’t know after leaving a nightclub in Waterloo. Police say an altercation happened during the ride and one female was forcibly removed from the car and physically assaulted. The suspects stole her property and drove away from the area. The victim received minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with relevant information is being asked to contact police.
