Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a home in Kitchener was broken into during the afternoon hours last week. Police said officers responded to a report of a break-and-enter at a residence in the area of Stoke Drive and Victoria Street South at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Friday. Investigators said an unknown suspect, or suspects, gained entry to the home by smashing the glass of a patio door. Property and cash were stolen from the residence. Police said the suspect was last seen fleeing the area in a white SUV. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information, including video surveillance or dash camera footage, is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police.
