Nearly 400 kilograms of marijuana found in truck: OPP

Norfolk County OPP say they’re dealing with one of their biggest marijuana busts in several years after a vehicle was stopped on a rural road south of Delhi.

According to police, a truck driving along McDowell Road West around 8:30 a.m. Sunday attracted an officer’s attention.

The vehicle was stopped and searched. In the back of the truck, police allegedly found about 382 kilograms of marijuana.

A 41-year-old man from Markham is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Police estimate the value of the seized marijuana at $405,000.
