Man hit in the head with frying pan during bedroom break-in

Guelph Police have arrested a 33-year-old man who allegedly broke into a home to attack an acquaintance.

The incident happened in the Paisley Street and Yorkshire Street area around 10 a.m.

According to police, the man kicked in the door of the victim’s bedroom.

Once inside, he hit the victim in the head with a frying pan and proceeded to “stick him again with a ‘Nerf toy’ in his face.”

Police said the attacker fled when the victim defended himself.

Officers arrested the man a short time later. He’s been charged with break and enter, two counts of assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a police undertaking.
