Major snowfall could be coming to parts of southern Ontario, including Waterloo Region, Guelph and Stratford

There are snow squall warnings in southern Ontario. CTV's Alexandra Pinto tells us how much of the white stuff we could get.

Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch for parts of southern Ontario.

The agency said some areas could see between 30 and 50 cm of snow this week.

The snow squall watch includes Waterloo Region, Guelph, Southern Wellington County, southern Perth County and Northern Perth County.

The snow is expected to start falling on Thursday morning, and visibility may be reduced to near zero as strong winds are also expected to whip through the province.

Travel may be hazardous and road closures are possible.
