A Kitchener man is asking for the public’s help after he says his best friend’s ashes were stolen during a break-and-enter. Over $100,000 in items, including watches and Pokemon and One Piece cards, were allegedly taken during the incident, but he told CTV News, “I don’t care about anything else. I just want his ashes back; it would mean the world to me.” The incident happened at 120 Old Carriage Drive on Friday evening. The urn is described as a red and brown wooden box with a gold lock and the words “R.I.P. Shawn” etched on the front. If found, the ashes can be returned to the management office at 120 Old Carriage Drive in Kitchener. The Waterloo Regional Police Service confirmed the theft had been reported and ask anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the ashes to give them a call at 519-570-9777, extension 4497.
