A 35-year-old Kitchener man’s poor parking job landed him in some hot water with Guelph Police. An officer was patrolling a parking lot around 3:30 a.m. Thursday when they saw a running vehicle parked diagonally across several parking spots. The officer spoke with the driver and smelled alcohol on his breath. When the driver got out of his vehicle, he was unsteady on his feet. The driver was arrested and taken to the police station. A breathalyzer test determined the man had twice the legal amount of alcohol in his system. The 35-year-old was charged with impaired driving and is expected to appear in court next month.
