Pelican Narrows RCMP is asking the public for help finding three suspects following a shooting in the community earlier this month. Officers received a report of a shooting at a residential property on Linklater Street on Aug. 7 around 4:45 a.m., according to an update from Saskatchewan RCMP on Thursday. Through an investigation, officers found a group of armed men approached a man and a woman at the property, demanding keys to their vehicle. During an altercation, a gun was discharged, which injured both the man and women. RCMP say the armed men fled from the area and did not steal the victim’s vehicle. Both the man and woman were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Officers found the suspects travelling in a truck in the area and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, the truck sped away from police. Officers then found the truck abandoned on Dorion Crescent a short time after that. RCMP arrested three men nearby, with two later released without charge. A loaded firearm was found by officers during a search of the truck. A 24-year-old, an 18-year-old, a 25-year-old, and a teenage boy, all from Pelican Narrows, are each facing 13 charges, including aggravated assault, careless use of a firearm, flight from a peace officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The 24-year-old man appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Aug. 10. Warrants have been issued for Mikka McCallum, 18, Tyrese Sewap, 25, and the teenage boy’s arrests. RCMP ask anyone with information to call them or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers. Tyrese Sewap is described as six-foot one inch tall and 140 pounds, with brown eyes and short brown hair. RCMP say they are working to find a recent photo and description of McCallum. Since the teenage boy is under 18, he cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
