Jaws of Life stolen from Wellesley Fire station

Waterloo Regional Police say life-saving tools were stolen from the Wellesley Fire station.

The break-in was reported at 6:45 a.m. on April 30.

Police said the thief, or thieves, entered the Adelaide Street station and took a Hurst Combi tool, otherwise known as the Jaws of Life, and a Halligan tool, which is used to forcibly open vehicles or other structures.

They also shared photos of what those items would look like.

The Break and Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery (BEAR) unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the break-in.
