Cambridge to continue leaf collection scuttled by snowfall

As the snow melts and the final, now slimy, vestiges of fall reemerge, the City of Cambridge has announced plans to restart their leaf collection program.

“After last fall’s early heavy snowfall, crews will resume the Loose Leaf Collection Program on March 30, starting with neighbourhoods that weren’t completed in 2025,” a social media post from the city said.

They have also released a map showing where leaf collection was completed last fall. All other areas can expect to see crews continue that work.

Residents were asked to rake leaves to the curb in preparation for the effort.
