A Cambridge woman has been charged with setting a house fire that sent one person to hospital. Waterloo Regional Police said first responders were called to Adam Street and Queen Street around 2 a.m. Saturday. The Cambridge Fire Department managed to put out the flames but not before they caused significant damage to the home. “One occupant was transported to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation as a result of the incident,” a media release said. Police charged a 38-year-old woman with arson with a disregard for human life. On Sunday, police and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office were seen at the home. No further details were shared about the investigation.
